The American Petroleum Institute announced this week that Lisa Salley will lead the association麻豆传媒映画檚 Global Industry Services (GIS) department as Vice President. GIS is the organisation麻豆传媒映画檚 division responsible for certification, standards, training, events, publications and safety programmes for onshore, offshore and refinery operations.

As one of API麻豆传媒映画檚 top executives, Salley will head a 105 person staff responsible for certification, standards, training, events, publications and safety programmes for onshore, offshore and refinery operations. GIS has played an increasingly critical role in the international oil and natural gas industry, and the department has offices in Beijing, Dubai, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Houston and Washington, D.C.

Immediately prior to joining API, Salley was vice president and general manager of UL麻豆传媒映画檚 Energy and Power Technologies Division. As a key member of the UL Commercial and Industrial executive leadership team, she played an important role in the electrical grid and distributive power markets. Under her leadership UL implemented global strategy to ensure safety and to accelerate adoption of new technologies, such as renewable energy, energy storage, and cyber-security. Salley drove profitable top line growth, launched the Renewables Council and managed an M&A pipeline. Prior to joining UL, Salley held senior executive roles at GE and Rohm & Haas. Early career roles were with Dupont.
