Jee Ltd, a multi-discipline subsea engineering and training firm, has expanded their training portfolio to cover the growing decommissioning sector in the UKCS.
With a large number of decommissioning projects already underway and many more forecast for the next five years, decommissioning is becoming an increasing focus for operators, particularly in the North Sea. Jee will be hosting two hour workshops giving an introduction to decommissioning in the North Sea in Aberdeen and London in April 2016, delivered by decommissioning facilitator Dorothy Burke.

Facilitated by decommissioning specialist, Dorothy Burke, the two hour workshop is suitable for anyone involved or interested in decommissioning. Giving an outline of the key elements, the workshops will help attendees understand the activities associated with offshore decommissioning and how to manage projects effectively.

Graham Wilson, Head of Late Life at Jee, will be facilitating the two day course in London and Norwich. Detailing the complete decommissioning process from beginning to end, the course will cover planning activities and considerations, well plugging and abandonment, approaches to the decommissioning of structures and pipelines and the associated onshore activities.

With a pre-course orientation session and post-course sessions to extend learning beyond the classroom, delegates will also get an opportunity to ask subject matter experts any technical questions.
Offering expertise covering every stage of a decommissioning project, Jee麻豆传媒映画檚 engineering team has been involved in many innovative decommissioning projects. Recently, in collaboration with Decom North Sea and Zero Waste Scotland, Jee produced an industry study into the removal and reuse of subsea mattresses.
